A picture taken on Christmas Eve, 2010, of the reedy Lochan Cill Chriosd, in Strath Suardal, by Torrin, Isle of Skye, Scotland.
Sunset at this time of year happens early....in this case, just after 3 O'clock in the afternoon, when there was a sharp hoar frost, and the lochan frozen.
The view is of Blaven (Bla Bheinn) of the Black Cuillin mountains.
Strath Suardal is reached by taking the very scenic single track road from Broadford to Elgol.
